If you guys don't know, Sex and the City is an important show to me. Season three saved my life when I was dumped by my high school boyfriend. And I've seen every episode 5 times, and love every single one like my own child. Embarrassing. But true. I've been involved with those characters since I was 17. So the movie coming out, is a huge deal. And me and katie we'er going to see it opening night when we drove up to detroit to see dolo.
Well.
Katie alerts me there is a midnight showing last night at 12:01am.
"Don't tell Dolo!"
DoLo14MiTe: did you already go see SATC!?!?
SocrBritney: what
DoLo14MiTe: i just read what you wrote on lil dinaps wall
SocrBritney: um

someone just made my day :)
berryCHERRY03: jenna, i was bored.. lets face it i was creeping. and i saw your blog, read some of it. it was entertaining, you're a good writer. when you come out with your book, i want one of your first copies, after all your close friends of course, but nonethe less i want one. it will be good
This is my best friend Kristin Dolmetsch doing her stand up routine. It's her first time, and it takes ALOT to get up in front of people and do this. She did fantastic. Unfortuntately, I wasnt able to be there since well, Michigan is not the same as Indiana. But it's on youtube and i'm just trying to show as many people as possible. I'm proud of her and i love her so watch it, damnit.
Annnd while searching for it on youtube i found our video from senior year of katie's EXTREME scooter wipeout. Most of you have probably seen it, but we did not plan this and it's pretty much the essence of apt. 203 and our senior year. ENJOY.
I'm in my Group Comm class and we're discussing the 1996 Mt. Everest disaster and how group communication was involved. or lack thereof.
It's real interesting stuff. The expedition was analyzed from a group point of view. Lack of radio communication, the Sherpas inability to get the ropes ready in time, the amount of people climbing at one point...all led to this disaster.
katie, stop looking at my computer.
Anyway, everyone in the class is saying, "you couldn't pay me $65,000 (the average cost to climb it) to do this." and me and Katie (class BFF, not roommate) are like, "LET'S FUCKIN CLIMB THIS BITCH."
it reminds my of a friends episode where joey and chandler want to climb it and phoebe goes:
"You know it costs like, 70,000 dollars to climb it. and people die. (looks at chandler) and you WOULD die."
they just decide to rent a video of it. and also Die Hard.
Well, i keep looking at pictures and watching videos on National Geographics website, and I am fascinated. I'm gonna throw out there that I'm going to climb Mt. Everest by the time I'm 50.
Talk about lofty goals.
